Balboa Park walking tour offered free to the public by Committee of 100 volunteers at 11 a.m. on the 1st and 3rd Fridays. Tours begin at the Visitors Center, no reservations necessary. Recent walkers were pleasantly surprised at the open vistas now observed at the Plaza de Panama, the Prado, and the Plaza de Balboa -- and glad for the open-air feeling that befits a park experience.
